The History of the present Hotel, dates back to 1952, when Donato Esposito first started with the 
opening of the "Tramontano D'Oro" Bar, which later developed into a Restaurant and finally 
became a hotel. Since then the Esposito Family have always run the hotel with a special 
eye to continuos renovation, which is carried out each year, and to improve the quality and 
range of services they are committed to offer all their guests. "Continuity"  is a keyword for the 
Esposito Family and it certainly shows!
Breakfast is served on the open terrace or indoor Panoramic Breakfast Room, which has wonderful
views, you can have your breakfast until late morning; you can also enjoy your breakfast on the room's 
private terrace.  
There is a well equipped gym with "Technogym" equipment at the hotel.  To get to "Gavitella" beach 
you can take the steps down (400 steps) or you can go to another beach "La Praia" an easier way, 
using their free shuttle service. You can also enjoy a moment of leisure in the Turkish Bath or in the 
Sauna cost 15 Euro per person.
Small meetings and conferences can be organised at the hotel and they can also help you in organising
weddings, dinners and banquets.
There is a large outdoor Swimming Pool located on the hotel's roof (Open from May to October, 
weather permitting). Throughout the summer season they can prepare your drinks, appetizer 
and light lunches by the roof top swimming pool. 
Hotel Tramonto D’Oro is in the centre of Praiano were you can find; Pharmacy, post office, shops, 
florist,restaurants and a bancomat service (the nearest bank is in Amalfi or in Positano). 
In high season most of the shops are open on Sunday.

The Rooms: 
Each room is individually sized and furnished; most of the bathrooms are decorated with Artistic
hand-painted ceramic from Vietri. All with private Bathroom, Hairdryer, Sat-TV, Heating and 
Air-Conditioning individual system, Direct-dial Phone, Minibar and Safe. Most of the rooms 
have good views of the spectacular scenery; with the "Li Galli" Islands (which recalls the myth 
of the Ulisse's Sirens), Positano and the famous "Faraglioni" of Capri. 
Standard Rooms:
Without sea-view but equipped with all comforts: private bathroom, sat-tv, air-conditioning, 
heating, hairdryer, direct dial phone, minibar and safe.
Superior Rooms:
All with sea-view, balcony or terrace, bathroom, sat-tv, air-conditioning, heating,hairdryer,
direct dial phone, minibar and safe.
Deluxe Rooms:
These are larger rooms with terrace and sea-view, some with Jacuzzi bath-tub, private 
bathroom, sat-tv, air-conditioning, heating, hairdryer, direct dial phone, minibar and safe. 
The bathrooms are decorated with the attractive hand-painted tiles from Vietri. 

Location:
The hotel is in Praiano, between Amalfi and Positano, in a central location, which is peaceful and quiet. It has been built in a typical Mediterranean style with beautiful architecture that blends well with the stunning landscape. The hotel is 4 km from Positano, 9 km from Amalfi, 18 km from Sorrento and 12 km from Ravello.

Hotel Tramonto D'Oro's Cancellation Policy: It is possible to cancel the reservation until 20 days before the arrival with no charge; after that time they will charge 1 night every 2 days booked. For a "No Show" 50% charge.

How to reach Hotel Tramonto D'Oro:

From Train Station:
There is the railway Central Station of Salerno. Departures to Hotel Tramonto d'Oro with Sita bus; terminal distance from the station, 100 m. The other railway station is Napoli Centrale, at Piazza Garibaldi, where on a lower level you can get a Circumvesuviana local train to Sorrento; buses leaves from the square in front of the Circumvesuviana train station at Sorrento.

From Airport :
From the International Airport of Napoli Capodichino. Take Sita bus to Sorrento and from Sorrento another bus to Praiano. Or by Taxi, which the hotel can help organise.

By Car:
Coming from the North:
From Rome reach the main road "A1" direction south (Napoli ) and, after leaving Napoli, take the main road "A3" to Napoli - Salerno ( Not Tangenziale Napoli ). At Castellammare di Stabia, take the road to Sorrento and at Meta di Sorrento take the road to Positano and after 5 km you will arrive in Praiano: after a tunnel,you will find the parking of the Hotel Tramonto D'Oro on your right.
Coming from the South:
Take the exit "A3" at Vietri sul Mare and follow the sign for route S.S.163 Amalfitana, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Praiano.
