The San Gallo Palace is a new 4 star hotel in the centre of Florence. Situated in Piazza della Libertà, one of most significant areas of the city of Florence during medieval times. The view from the hotel of the San Gallo gate is where the hotel takes it’s name, this gate being noted through the centuries as the entrance way into the city for the noblemen of Florence.
The hotel opened on the 1st October 2003, combining the requirements of today’s clients with an elegant & relaxing atmosphere and with efficient services to respond to the needs of guests travelling for business or pleasure.
The San Gallo Palace offers its clients private
parking, the tranquillity of an internal garden with American &
snack bar service and all relevant services for the organisation of
meetings for up to 70 people. The meeting centre of the San Gallo
Palace has 5 meeting rooms all with natural light and suitable to
satisfy the needs of all types of meeting from small meetings to business
conventions ( maximum capacity 70 person).
American and Snack Bar, open until midnight, offers a wide variety
of snacks and appetizers, the "Buvette" an elegant and exclusive
location for the organisation of lunches and dinners.
The Rooms: The San Gallo Palace offers its’ clients 56 rooms including classic, superior and suites, all extremely
bright, offering all traditional comforts expected from a first class hotel : internet link for PC, direct line
fax and desk space, Satellite and Pay TV, safe, mini bar and hairdryer.
No smoking rooms and rooms with handicapped facilities are available.
The San Gallo Palace offers 24 hour room service, laundry & ironing, coffee & tea making facilities
& free newspaper at reception.

Hotel San Gallo Palace's Cancellation Policy: Accepted up to 48 hours before the arrival without charge, cancellations received within the 48 hours before arrival will be charged for a 1 night fee. "No Show" will be charged the entire amount of the reserved nights.
From Train:
Arriving at the central station of Santa Maria Novella we recommend
that a taxi is taken to reach the hotel, or bus number 1 direction
Piazza della Libertà.
From Airport (Amerigo Vespucci
Airport):
The Amerigo Vespucci airport is 5km from the centre of Florence, a
taxi
ride to the San Gallo Palace takes approximately 15 minutes, A valid
option is to take the shuttle bus service that goes from the airport
to the Santa Maria Novella Station, where a taxi can then be taken
to the hotel. Journey time from the station to the hotel approximately
10 minutes.
By Car:
- Coming from the North, take the Firenze Nord exit toward Centro
and Viali di Circonvallazione.
Continue on towards Fortezza da Basso and Piazza della Libertà.
When you arrive at Piazza della Libertà, make a left at the
first traffic light and drive alongside the piazza. At the next light,
make another left. You will find the San Gallo Palace 100 metres to
the right.
- For those coming from the South, take the Firenze Sud exit, then continue towards Centro and Viali di Circonvallazione until you reach Piazza della Libertà. At Piazza della Libertà, turn left at the traffic light and continue straight ahead. The Hotel San Gallo Palace is on your immediate right.
Notice for those guests arriving in Florence by car:
The centre of Florence permits access by car
and parking for residents only. Tourists are allowed
access by car to reach their hotels, upon registration of your license
plate by hotel reception staff.
Please provide this information on your arrival at the hotel.
Important Note: Once you have booked your accommdation, full instructions will be given on how to reach your hotel. HOTEL TRANSFERS: We can arrange your transfers from the airport direct to your hotel and return to airport at good competitive rates. Please advise when making the booking and we can quote for any number of people from car, people carrier, mini-bus or even coach. Child Discounts: If sharing parents room: 0 - 2 years free (eventual breakfast to be paid directly in hotels). 3 - 12 years 50% discount on the per person rate in double.
